I’ve designed a prototype antenna preamp with SAW filter for my HAB tracker setup.
The board includes a voltage regulator and supports power over coax or from an external battery.
The preamp gain is ~20 dB, and the SAW filter eliminates out-of-band signals at a small cost (-3 dB).
The results are promising, so we will design and manufacture a SAW-filtered version for HAB and a non-SAW version for FPV setups.
